• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Be responsible for all activities under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms
• You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• You abuse our AI services or API
• Your account has been inactive for an extended period
• Required by law or regulatory authority

PlantKeeper offers a free tier with limited features:

• Up to 10 plants in your collection
• 5 AI plant identifications per month
• 10 Plant Doctor queries per month
• Basic reminders and diary entries

Paid subscriptions include:

• Starter Plan: Extended limits for casual gardeners
• Pro Plan: Unlimited features for serious plant enthusiasts
• Founder Lifetime: One-time payment for lifetime access

Pricing is available on our pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly in advance
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Automatic renewal unless you cancel before the renewal date
• No refunds for partial months or unused services
• Failed payments may result in service suspension

You may cancel your subscription at any time:

• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• You retain access until the subscription expires
• No refunds for the remaining subscription period
• Your data remains accessible after downgrading to free tier
• Exceeding free tier limits requires upgrading or deleting data

Our AI-powered plant identification service:

• Provides suggestions based on image analysis
• May not be 100% accurate - always verify results
• Should not replace professional botanical identification
• Requires clear, well-lit photos for best results
• May refuse to process inappropriate or non-plant images

The Plant Doctor chatbot:

• Provides general plant care advice
• Is not a substitute for professional consultation
• May not diagnose rare diseases or conditions
• Should not be used for commercial agriculture decisions
• Responses are AI-generated and may contain errors

To ensure fair access for all users, we implement rate limits:

• Limits vary by subscription tier
• Excessive use may result in temporary restrictions
• Automated access (bots, scrapers) is prohibited
• Commercial use requires express written permission

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, notes, diary entries). By uploading content, you grant PlantKeeper:

• A license to store, process, and display your content
• Permission to analyze photos for AI features
• Right to use anonymized data for service improvement
• License to backup your content for data protection

You must not upload content that:

• Violates intellectual property rights
• Contains malware or malicious code
• Is illegal, harmful, or offensive
• Violates privacy or publicity rights
• Is unrelated to plants or gardening

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms without notice. You can delete your own content at any time through your account settings.

PlantKeeper and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• Reverse engineer or decompile the Service
• Copy, modify, or create derivative works
• Sell, rent, or sublicense access
• Remove proprietary notices or labels
• Use our branding without permission

"PlantKeeper" and our logo are trademarks. Unauthorized use may violate trademark laws.

We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

AI-generated content (plant identifications, care advice) is provided for informational purposes only. We do not warrant accuracy, completeness, or reliability. Always verify important decisions with professional sources.

While we implement robust backup systems, we are not liable for data loss. We recommend keeping local copies of important information.

We use third-party services (Stripe, Google AI, Supabase) and are not responsible for their actions, failures, or data practices.

You may terminate your account at any time through account settings. Upon termination:

• Active subscriptions continue until expiration
• No refunds for remaining subscription periods
• You may export your data before deletion
• Data is permanently deleted after 30 days

We may terminate or suspend access immediately for Terms violations. Upon termination:

• All licenses granted to you terminate
• You must cease all use of the Service
• We may delete your data
• Provisions that should survive termination remain in effect

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles.

Before filing a legal claim, please contact us at support@plantkeeper.app to attempt informal resolution. We commit to responding within 30 days.

Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except:

• Small claims court actions
• Intellectual property disputes
